My Favourite Radiohead Albums (in no particular order)

OK Computer (1997)

okcomputer

Regarded as one of the greatest albums of all time, OK Computer was a THE album that got me into Radiohead. It represented a departure from the industry had come to expect from Radiohead and was a mere taster of the more experimental side of the band. I love this album and it is pretty much perfect from start to finish. Favourite track - Paranoid Android

Kid A (2000)

kida

Kid A was the next step in the progression of Radiohead into more electronic and experimental sounds. Kid A introduced me to this brand of electronic music and encouraged me to seek out other artists in this genre. Favourite track - The National Anthem.

Hail to the Thief(2003)

hailtothethief

Hail to the Thief combines the classic Radiohead sound (if such a thing exists!) with the more synthesized/electronic sounds of Kid A and Amnesiac, resulting in an album that feels like a nice warm Radiohead hug. A very easy listen. Favourite track - 2 +2 = 5.

In Rainbows(2007)

inrainbows

In Rainbows is a somewhat groundbreaking album as it was released as a pay-what-you-want download, due to Radiohead leaving EMI and self-releasing the album. It was also released discbox with the cd and 2 vinyl records. Due to this unconventional release, this album spoke to me on a different level. Favourite track - Jigsaw falling into place.

The Bends(1995)

thebends

The Bends is widely regarded as a pivotal album in British rock history and, whilst it wasn't the first Radiohead album I listened to, it is an iconic record. Full of great tracks and exceptional musicality, this album is a must for any fan of British rock music. Favourite track - My Iron Lung.
